Brickwork commenced today

As can be seen in these photos, first set of brickwork commenced today.

Garages 2 & 3 can be seen below with base starting out double brick before the wall becomes single as in the plans with brick columns for support.

The "Wall" in view below that divides units 3 & 4.

The Wall. A double brick layer that separates the common slab between units 3 & 4. Timber frame will secure either side later.

Brick work looks untidy and because it wont see the light of day, the brickies wont be cleaning it up either. Looks rustic in a way.

First batch of bricks delivered today!

These bricks are referred to as "Jarrah" from the Boral range. Conservative and tough wearing with some character inherent from the clinkers of yesteryear.

This first batch will be for the garages.

Also fairly excited as I've been updated that the timber frames are under construction off site, essentially pre-fabbed for delivery sometime next week while the Brickies will be doing the garages.
